16 applications received for first Dementia Consortium deadline

News releases

The Dementia Consortium has got off to a great start, with 16 applications received for the first review deadline on 23 March. Of these, two have been asked to reapply with additional information and four have progressed to the second round of review, with decisions expected in July.

The Dementia Consortium is a collaboration between charity, technology transfer and industry organisations, working together to identify and accelerate development of potential drug treatments for neurodegenerative diseases emerging from academic research. A £3m fund will support promising research from scientists around the world, aiming to develop treatments that ultimately will benefit millions of patients. The next deadline for applications is 27 May 2014. For more information, please visit the Dementia Consortium website.
